Dr. Michael Katz, DPM has over 40 years of experience treating patients in the Venice area. His specialties include podiatry and foot and ankle surgery. Dr. Katz received a Bachelor of Science degree from Ursinus College in Collegeville, PA in 1971. Following his time at Ursinus College, he attended Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine, graduating with his doctorate in 1975. He then went on to complete his residency with the United States Air Force in 1977 at the Keesler Medical Center in Biloxi, Mississippi.

Dr. Katz started working at a private practice in Venice following his residency in 1977. In 2011, Dr. Katz began working with the Gulf Coast Medical Group. He also served as an adjunct professor at Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine in Miami.

Dr. Katz is an active member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the Florida Podiatric Medical Association. He is board-certified in foot and ankle surgery through the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. His dedication to the Venice community is astounding. He has served as the chief of staff for the Bon Secours – Venice Hospital and chair of the Credentials Committee for the Venice Regional Medical Center.
